Birthday Dinner

Five in the afternoon rolled around, after I had been celebrating my official birthdate time and that's when it hit me, I have to be ready and leaving my house in an hour for my birthday dinner.

I then tried on three dress, two black and the other navy blue. Well lets just say I went with one of the thicker black dresses, because it was freezing but the navy blue dress that I wanted to wear would not do up. I panicked a little bit because I love this dress and do not want it not to fit but I just decided to let it slide and jump in the shower. I mainly just wanted to warm myself up because I was turning blue after laying on the lounge for most of the day watching One Tree Hill.

I was out, priming my face and that's when my phone rang. I considered ignoring it as it rang out and checking it once I was ready. It was James, I quickly called him back only to find out he was just informing me he was heading to the station, I said I would see him soon before continuing to run around the house like an idiot getting makeup on and clothed.

I walked out the door and began to walk up the street, looking for a cab. Not one freaking cab in sight. I begin to panic thinking I won't make the train because it was already almost ten past six and the train gets to central at six thirty-three.

Then there was a cab. I quickly hailed it down and jumped in. I made it to central at six twenty six [after walking through the tunnel] and was looking at a massive line for a ticket. I may have cursed a little. I then grabbed my ticket and walked as fast as possible in wedges to the platform. Four minutes remaining. I am awesome.

I get on the train and enjoyed three gee network in the tunnels. Pretty freakin' awesome.

Anyway, I get to the station where I get off and called James. He was upstairs. I of course walked the wrong way, past the escalators that go up and ended up at the down ones. More cursing as I walked up the stairs. Fail.

I smiled as soon as I saw him. He always looks amazing in a suit. Always.

Fast forward to dinner. I ordered a wet watermelon, which is just vodka mixed with watermelon. Simple yet effective. I ordered two of those, the second seemed to have extra vodka in it because my gawd I was off like a fairy on extra pixie dust.

We finished dinner and I began to feel a little out of it. We then walked back to the station, feet were very achy. I don't wear wedges very often. I listened to James as he then made up memes for me. "Carly simply does not walk down hills in wedges" and anything else that I did that provided him with meme fill-ins.

The train then arrived, we commented on the fact that we had a new train. Got on, sat down and put our legs up on the seat because we could. That was when the people that speak, spoke. Telling people not to put their feet on the seats as it is a fineable offence and to think of the other people that will sit there after you.

I, of course had just taken a photograph of our feet and burst out laughing at this. But then began to wonder, how long had those cameras been there. Obviously I don't catch new trains enough!

We got home, via another cab, and we snuggled on the lounge as per my request. I fell asleep and snored, very ladylike. It was a great way to end my birthday and made it one of my favourite and best birthday's; all thanks to James.
