I walk to work every day; so roughly I walk four kilometres each day.
I am okay with that. The reason that I live where I live and pay ridiculous amounts in rent is so that I can walk to work and am close enough to do so and not rely on public transport.
Trains are easy. You get to the platform, check it is your train and wait patiently. Get off at the right stop and you're set. Just be awfully careful with catnapping. I will happily catch a train to get to wherever I need to be.
Buses not so much. I will avoid using a bus if I can. Even today I went to Rhodes Ikea just so I didn't need to catch a bus to get to Tempe Ikea. It is probably incredibly silly but that's just me.
This morning however, I caught the bus with James. He catches it from near the apartment to the station. I was a little nervous. I haven't been on a bus in, well, at least a couple of years.
I purchased a one way ticket and was ready to go. When we got on and sat down, it was fine. James asked if I would push the button but I declined.
I just am not a fan of buses. Not to mention just the other day James' bus smashed into another bus so I was all but thrilled to be on one myself on the same route.
