James forever comments on how slow my iPhone is; I never
really notice because well, it doesn't really affect me if it runs fast or
slow, unless I am in a bad mood and it appears to be another thing not working
properly. Then all bets are off.
I mentioned that I wanted to back up our SMS' because I
still have every message we have ever sent each other back from the very first.
Oh yes.
I then continued to search for a programme that would do it
for me; okay so James searched for the programme. He found one, free, I
downloaded and plugged in my iPhone waiting to see all our messages come to
life on my MacBook.
*ahem*
That was when it stopped and said that it only takes the first twenty and was leaving behind over five thousand text messages between James and I.
Hmm. That would definitely be why my phone runs incredibly
slow.
I have since downloaded a paid app, as we couldn't find a
free one to get them all, and while they are sitting on my computer they are
still in my iPhone.
I want to get rid of them, in hopes of making my device
faster but I am also wanting to keep them. I like knowing that they are there,
that our entire relationship can be read via our text messages.
Gawd. I just said that didn't I?
Moving on.
What are your thoughts on text messages?

I used to keep mine too when I had just started dating, then my relationship creeped up upon us and then it was five years, seven years, nine years old and I suddenly stopped recording them all. I changes my phones heaps too during those days. I think it is wonderful that you've managed to save them all. i envy you. In my current state, I wouldn't mind finding my 5000 and reading them all reminiscing of better days. Wise move.
